As I type, Joe Biden has pulled ahead of Donald Trump in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and has increased his lead in Nevada. A win in any one of these states secures the presidency for Biden.
I did not vote for Biden. But this Jonah Goldberg quote resonates with me bigly:
Moreover, it looks as if the Republicans will maintain a slim Senate majority, all but guaranteeing enough gridlock to prevent any nuttier leftist initiatives from getting any traction.
Frankly I’m not sure I could have drawn it up any better, given the grim particulars.
The sitting president has given no indication whatsoever that he will go gently into the night. However, I can think of no more effective way for Mr. Trump to secure his legacy than to make baseless claims of widespread election fraud.
I expect someone more prominent than Bo Williams of BoWilliams.com will call the race soon, and we’ll get a better idea of what to expect over the next several weeks. I deeply hope it is a forecast plausibly devoid of unrest and violence.
