I spent some enjoyable time at Honest Coffee Roasters in downtown Huntsville this past spring, so it was a pleasure to go back recently on the food blogger tour ahead of Huntsville Restaurant Week. Honest is in a great spot in the thick of Huntsville’s downtown renaissance, at Clinton and Washington.
The last time I was there, I had the best bowl of oatmeal I’ve ever eaten—fresh, hot, and dressed to the nines. It was delicious, but it seemed like everyone else got an açaí bowl, so I was keen to try one this time. (It’s one of Honest’s signature plays.) So I was glad to see one as a Huntsville Restaurant Week special. Behold the Curious George (click for larger):
This marvelousness includes bananas, apples, grapes, Craisins, and cacao nibs, with a drizzle of peanut butter, over a base of açaí and granola. It was truly delightful.
You’ll also have a peanut butter mocha available as a Huntsville Restaurant Week special, and given what these folks do with coffee, that shall be memorable too.
