- Loved having both children home for the Labor Day weekend. It’s long been one of my favorite weekends of the year, and honestly, it feels like it kicks off “the holidays” to me.
- Aaron will be back for Texas this weekend, and then I think he’s going to the game the following week. He’s got Mia thinking she needs to go too. I’m digging that.
- Lea and I are mostly finished with the new flooring in our living room and hallway. Actually she’s done most of the installation. My part of the job was mostly front-loaded with prep (removing carpet and furring strips, policing for renegade staples, and such). And, I’m doing an occasional cut or drill for her.
- Tried something stupid yesterday morning in pursuit of a quick home improvement win. Spent the few hours immediately following considering my lack of judgment, and then made a (good) plan to come at it again in a few days.
More soon. All is well. Good times. Odd times.
