Looking like it’ll be a good night for Republicans. Odds of taking back the Senate are about 3 in 4. Wisconsin governor Scott Walker is in a squeaker. That’s one of the only races I’m concerned about.
It would be a grave error for Republicans to overvalue positive results for them tonight. The expected outcome would be a fairly unambiguous rejection of Obama and all who have kept him powerful. However, it would not be an implicit embrace of Republican vision. (Frankly, there hasn’t been much of that. What would that even look like?)
So I hope a few someones have been working on the way forward after the midterms. America is exceptional and worth saving. Secure borders, empowered individuals, and a government that knows its place are good starting points.
Republicans, a big night for you tonight isn’t validation. It’s the electorate saying “OK, whatcha got?”
Have something powerful to say.
And then act.

This.
I’m sure they realize this is tryouts for the next election. As there’s no clear front runner for the GOP in 2016 right now, this is their opportunity to put someone in the lime light and prove their ideas.
Also, I hope they go ahead and nix the filibuster. Please. It’s one of the most undemocratic things that exist in our government.
