Lea and I have an ongoing junk mail pastime. We enjoy evaluating and discussing the methods by which junk mailers try to get you to open their crap.

That means that exactly this piece of mail went to a great many people. There’s nothing unique inside except your name and address. Toss it sealed without a second thought.

A friend of mine opens all of them, fishes out the prepaid postage envelope and stuffs a printed bible verse in it and sends it back. Not sure if it’s good or bad but I thought it was neat.
I do have a few standing rules. If genuine cash, a stamp, or anything else of value is visible, I’ll remove and keep it before I throw the rest away. 🙂
