White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday that NASA Administrator Charles Bolden must have misspoken when he told Al Jazeera last month that one of his top priorities is to reach out to Muslim countries.
“That was not his task and that’s not the task of NASA,” Gibbs said.
(Bolden has made this claim more than once, and the White House even defended his remarks last week.)

Gibbs is such a smarmy POS d-bag. Even the Auburn folks don’t want to claim him. This administration is practiced in the art of crapping the bed then trying to distract everyone with a fistful of sparklers. I’m pretty sure Gibbs majored in it.
Oh my goodness, that 1984 reference just made my night! Awesome!
You let someone actually start debating the definition of “is” and this is where you wind up.
BamaDan, I considered putting “Auburn alumnus Robert Gibbs.” 🙂
Mirth, I’m glad! No acknowledgment it was ever any other way. Lovely, eh?
Marianne, you’re right! I’ve said it before: what a scary wonderland we’ve wandered into.
That is an insult to all of us hard-working non-delusional Auburn alumni.
Marianne, you’re right. Of course there are many fine Auburn people. I especially appreciate their easy manners and senses of humor. 🙂
