Thursday miscellanea #631

I have post ideas, but they end up as bullets in my Thursday miscellanea post. I don’t care for this, but it’s better than not posting. I’m working on a sustainable schedule for 2023.
I hate that we’ve lost Mike Leach. We finally got him in the SEC where he always belonged, and I just figured we’d enjoy him for somewhere between several and many years. Alas, that didn’t work out. God be with family and friends. RIP.
Ordered a condenser fan motor yesterday, which will hopefully bring the sustained HVAC chaos to a close. Wow, do I ever know a lot more about my unit than I did before, though!
Bullet Train, currently on Netflix, is wonderful. Hilarious and frenetic, with cartoonish violence a la Kill Bill, it’s worth your time.
I said “I said what I said” on Twitter this morning. Ultimately I may regret that. I let myself Do. This. Thing. With. Periods. once and eventually wished I hadn’t.
Lost another friend this week simply because I’m supporting and loving my transgender daughter. This time the person was actively antagonistic and made absolutely no attempt to understand my perspective or hers. I’m not sure what to say to these people except goodbye. I wish I knew some magic words.
We’re thankfully rid of the rain for a while, and it looks like it will be suitably cold for Christmas Day. (I think it’s weird when it’s warm on Christmas.)
