- Today is the first day Huntsville has an operating Trader Joe’s. There are lines around the building. As I stated on a friend’s Facebook post, my first visit will probably be a very cold day in January after everyone’s Christmas credit card bills have arrived. (I love you, dudes and dolls, but wherever “there” is, I generally try to be there when you’re not.)
- Lea and I are enjoying The Coroner on BritBox. It doesn’t hurt that it stars one of our favorites from Waking the Dead, Claire Goose.
- On my own, I’m watching The Sopranos. I never did. (I know, I know.) Since I finally crossed off Once Upon a Time in America last year, I think The Sopranos has been the largest hole in my mob TV/movie viewing.
- Congratulations to Alex Palou, who drove a whale of a season to capture his first IndyCar championship!
- If we didn’t have to score a touchdown every single time we touched the ball to beat Ole Miss on Saturday, that would be lovely.
- October is here, and though mostly pleasant weather is forecast, there isn’t any genuine chill out there yet. Won’t be long.
