Thursday miscellanea #558

• Taco Bell has fallen so far since the glory days that I can’t remember the last time I had any, but I’m still a little sad to learn that the Mexican Pizza’s days are numbered. It was one of the seriously craveable items there, once upon a time. When I worked there and would close, I’d usually have a rather heavily adorned Mexican Pizza for my dinner before we broke down the steam and stuff tables.
• Just devoured Atypical on Paul‘s recommendation. It is, sometimes in the space of two minutes, achingly touching and screamingly funny. I’m looking forward to the final season.
• Move over Amazon Prime…here comes Walmart Plus! (Actually, no need to move over. It’s still Walmart.)
• A graphic novel based on Dio’s iconic Holy Diver album is coming next year. I’m certain I don’t have $100 for the deluxe version, but I might have $20 for the standard version.
• The current dishwasher is a bit more than three years old, and malfunctioned for the first time four weeks ago. Thanks to YouTube, RepairClinic.com, and the wisdom I had to walk away from it when I needed to, I successfully repaired it 48 hours later. It has stayed that way. I am pleased.
• For the past several years, Labor Day has been the kickoff weekend for football. It’s jarring that it’s not this year. Even the current schedule feels a bit phantasmal. I’m sure I’ll enjoy it if we can actually pull it off.
• There certainly are a lot of people telling me that I’m throwing my vote away if I vote third-party. Really? Gaze upon this shitshow election and tell me:  what isn’t throwing your vote away?
