Kirk Douglas has died at 103. I’ll have to get out Paths of Glory and Spartacus this weekend. Thank you, sir. RIP.
Haven’t made up my mind whether I’ll make the effort to see Sammy Hagar & The Circle. I wish they were coming closer than Atlanta. I also wish they weren’t co-headlining.
Saw Terminator: Dark Fate last weekend. It has moments, but the magic is definitely gone. So, from where I sit, there are two excellent Terminator movies (the first two); three serviceable ones (3, Salvation, and Dark Fate), and one terrible one (Genisys). Dark Fate bombed at the box office, so further Terminator sequels are unlikely.
I really hate to hear about Rush Limbaugh’s lung cancer. My prayers are with him.
Lea and I swallowed The Stranger in three nights. Good stuff.
Well, we haven’t had an impenetrably silly marketing decision from General Motors in a while, so how about this one? New Cadillacs will have an emblem giving the number of newton metres of torque, rounded to the nearest 50, produced by the engine on the rear of the vehicle. (Never mind that millions of Americans don’t know what torque is in the first place, or that those who do generally measure it in pound-feet.)
