This morning Tony Kanaan confirmed what has been long rumored—that he will drive the #14 car on the five ovals in the 2020 IndyCar season for Foyt, and retire as a “primary” IndyCar driver. He stressed that he does not anticipate retiring from motorsports completely (sports car racing? Brazilian stock cars?), and I’m certain he’ll be back for a few more Indy 500s. All the best on #TKLastLap, Tony. We’ll see you in May!
Katherine and I went to Drake’s for lunch yesterday, where I had sushi for the second time there. It wasn’t bad, but it was about a B-, which is what I recall about the first time. There are too many better places to get it. Stick to burgers at Drake’s, which are generally excellent.
Locals, there is no freeze in the forecast for the next two weeks, and quite a few 60s during the day. Stuff’s gonna bloom…and die.
I don’t really have a team in Super Bowl LIV, but it certainly looks like it’ll be a great game. Looking forward to it.
(And General Motors is going to tease a 1,000-horsepower electric Hummer during it.)
