So after my ultra-lazy December 26, I had this really killer December 27 during which I made my study habitable by civilized people, and a fun December 28 & 29 in Oxford.
Then I woke up December 30 with what I’ve Internet-diagnosed as quad tendonitis. Pain and swelling above my left kneecap whenever I use the knee, basically, and if you’ve never considered just how often you use your knees, let me tell you: you use your knees a LOT.
I haven’t been able to keep it still enough for it to get better, so I have a brace/splint coming tomorrow to use instead of the Ace bandage. I’m confident in my diagnosis, but I’ll give up and go to the doctor if it’s not better this time next week.
So, over the break I had several more lazy days, with the bonus of pain. Don’t think I’d have laid around quite so much the day after Christmas had I known that was going to happen. I had plans for the garage too.
‘Course, I won’t feel too bad about it for the rest of the week, because it’ll be too cold to work anyway.
At this point my legs are in open revolt. Time to lose more weight before I get hurt seriously, and not just annoyingly.
