I had lunch with Huntsville Times/al.com business reporter Lucy Berry a couple of weeks ago at Madison Square Mall. I visited with her a bit on what the mall used to be, and what it might become. She wrote a great story on Madison Square, including several interesting ideas for its future.
As I’ve said throughout my recent thoughts on the matter, there is nothing insurmountably wrong with Madison Square. It’s in good condition, in a great location. This community has the ability to support something significant there.
We do need to know what that something significant is going to be. Let’s hope CBL & Associates is actively working it and unveils a plan soon.
