Well, it’s debate day, dudes and dolls. I started to embed the latest example of Obama’s racist pandering to surface, but I’ll just stop at that link to it. Is there a point in pounding on it? There’s nothing in the video that should surprise anyone who’s been paying attention.
Alas, with a lapdog media machine, it’s easy to create and keep people who think they’re paying attention. Obama is a uniter. Obama has increased federal spending less than anyone since Eisenhower. No one could have done any better with BUSH DID IT this economy than Obama. You see, that is what “the news” says. And for folks who get most or all of their hard news from a screen at a gas station or in line at the bank, it is fact.
(No point in going into folks who think smirking jackasses on late-night television are news sources, either. They’re wholly convinced of their brilliance.)
I’m hoping for something highly resistant to spin tonight to play incessantly on those screens—something media outlets will have no choice but to show, and something for which the Obama rationalization is hopelessly wan. Like, oh, “you didn’t build that.” That was a substantial blunder, and one I think the Romney campaign let drop too soon.
Obama’s legacy is already tragically extensive. Let’s hope his journey back to Chicago begins in earnest tonight.

From your fingers to God’s screen, Bo.
LOL I’ve never done this before. We’ll see how it goes. I always really dig reading Jay Nordlinger’s live-blogging of anything, which has me wanting to give it a try.
I was surprised that a Chicago politician, born and raised in Hawaii (and Indonesia), the product of all the best upper-crust schools, kept a folksy Southern accent without slipping once for over an hour. There’s Hollywood actors who can’t do that. Where’s yo dollah?
Expectations significantly exceeded. There is no plausible Obama spin on this. Romney dominated.
Enjoyed your live tweeting last night, Bo. Excellent observations and commentary. What a complete beatdown!
Enjoyed reading your commentary during the debate, Bo. Do you think you’ll do it for the next one?
I read a comment that included “ass-whoopery” this morning. Made my day!
Thank you, Jenny and Dave, for your kind words. And yes, I’ll do it again, for all three remaining debates (including the VP debate next week).
