So came the question from Nathan, last night on the way home from soccer practice.
“Well, son, I don’t know what the unit of measurement would be, and I think it would depend at least partially on the size of the turkey. Finally, I just barely know what tryptophan is. Ask me again at home, OK?”
I was flattered. I guess I have a ready answer often enough for him to reasonably expect one. Of course, a big part of that is that I used to be ten years old too, so I asked similar questions, and I still remember a lot of the answers my dad, a teacher, or World Book gave me.
I think he’s getting a tablet for Christmas. I’ll be sure to tell him it’s still OK to ask Dad too.
