Trent, Tommy, and I saw quite a car today.
You know, it’s not just that this is tacky (though the aesthetics are certainly disturbing enough). It’s the hero worship this display represents that could really be destructive. Would the owner of this car be the sort of person who believed candidate Barack Obama when he said he’d halt the ocean’s rise?
We have a president who ran as a god-king, and who has delivered staggering incompetence even on a most generous human scale. That’s eventually going to be some kind of havoc on the emotions of someone who would do this, don’t you think? I’m glad I don’t walk around believing fairy tales.
I’m also glad that’s not my car all screwed up like that.
