Thursday miscellanea #450

I did not watch the State of the Union address this week. I’m not sure I’ll ever watch another one. Maybe if Jesus gave it? (This is not a political comment. This is a meta-political comment.)
Ford has filed a patent application for an unmanned police cruiser that is capable of running a speed trap, pulling you over, and giving you a ticket.
Tomorrow evening I will have Thunderbolt, the 22nd studio album from heavy metal legends Saxon. I’m excited.
Did you know you can find out exactly how much you’ve spent on Amazon.com—ever? It’s buried, but there’s a report you can generate. I’ve done enough research year by year figuring Alabama use tax to know that I never want to know what this number is for myself.
I bought four polo shirts in July last year that, when I tried them on, I just barely couldn’t wear. I can wear them now. Yes! Onward! Lots more where those came from! It’s like four new shirts for free!
On that note, this is the middle of my 9,000-steps-daily week, building on 8,000 last week and 7,000 the week before. On Sunday I’ll begin the “customary” 10,000-steps-daily week and probably leave it there for a while. I think I mentioned before—Netflix has enabled me to use the treadmill daily.
