Thursday miscellanea #586

Let’s see…toolboxes, wristwatches, sausages, and leather goods. Yep, the Facebook ad algorithms have me cold.
The Trash Pandas got pounded last night in their first game (rescheduled from Tuesday). I’ll check the park out sometime this summer.
Enjoyed Nick’s with friends last night. I had Pasta Nicky, which was a white wine, grape tomato, and scallop situation tossed with angel hair. It was good, but I’ll go back to a steak next time. It’s one of the best in Huntsville.
Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar constitute about 45% of the new store openings announced so far this year. Nearly 1 in 3 is a Dollar General. I like Dollar Tree for OTC medicine and the occasional movie candy. I can’t remember the last time I was in either of the other two. Dollar Tree is the only “everything’s $1” store of the three, right?
Cerebrum is out! A longtime acquaintance of mine cowrote the screenplay, and I’m looking forward to seeing it. Watch for a review soon.
So Jaylen Waddle is headed to Miami (where Tua can throw to him!). DeVonta Smith is headed to Philadelphia (where Hurts can throw to him!). Mac Jones…is a Patriot.
Congratulations to Pato O’Ward on his first IndyCar victory at Texas on Sunday! What an amazing drive, including an outside pass of Newgarden and Rahal on a restart that is probably the move of the year so far.
