I’m not superstitious. I don’t eat a lot of black-eyed peas, either. Lea doesn’t like them, so when I have them it’s generally at a meat-and-three or similar. And I’ve never made any particular effort to eat them on January 1.
But, clicking over to 2021? Yeah, b’lieve I will. I bought a can this morning. I’ll eat it all for lunch. They’re Glory, so they’ll be good. I’ll pass on the mayonnaise, though. My mom liked that, and this odd habit persists with Dad and Jenny to this day.
Happy New Year!
