I have a lot more appreciation of the entire equation since watching Dan Wheldon die.
Though it is much safer that it used to be, it is still, objectively, an extremely foolish thing to do to strap yourself into an IndyCar and hit the throttle.
I’m very glad it appears Josef Newgarden is going to be OK. God be with Josef, friends, and family.
