- I encountered a truly bizarre motorist last night: a woman in a red Fiat 500 driving around flipping people off. I saw her do this nearly continuously for two to three miles, with no discernible pattern.
- Last night was probably it for the 50s until the fall. Too bad. I love window fan nights.
- You know movie buffs who can recall a whole lot of dialog from a whole lot of movies? I’m one of those. Lea isn’t, except when she’s recalling offensive scenes in movies I’m trying to sell her as all right to show the boys. Then, she’s a savant.
- Local peoplequarium Providence got a positive mention in Fortune recently. I have friends and family who are happy there, but I want to be able to get further away from my fellow man than that. (And I believe my position on homeowner associations is clear.)
- Practice for the Indianapolis 500 is in full swing. Helio Castroneves walked away from a dramatic crash yesterday. Josef Newgarden did so today. Glad they’re OK. We haven’t seen air get under these cars like that in quite some time, so it’s a little concerning to see back-to-back accidents of that nature with a new aerodynamics package.
- You like green onions? I like green onions. Did you know that if you save the root ends and put them in water, they’ll regrow?
- I hope phones with high-resolution e-ink backs become a thing. Man, that is trick, and just endlessly useful.
