I’ve been interested in the story of Abby Sunderland, the 16-year-old girl who was trying to become the youngest person to ever sail around the world solo, and who was recently rescued in the Indian Ocean after multiple equipment failures. Tough not to pull for her, you know?
I’ll tell you, though, stuff can’t ever just be anymore, can it? Now it’s coming out that her father has a deal for a reality TV show.
I guess shoving her in a box and tying her to a big balloon, or pretending to do so, had been done.
I know he’s proud of her, and it’s a cool thing no matter what, and so forth. I still would have rather not learned that the stench of specific money is on this effort before it has even succeeded.

A pox on reality TV.

Well, poop.
Damn, I wish I had a couple of kids to exploit.
I got sadder thinking about this as the day went on.
