It’s Sarah Palin! Boo!

Well, I only read this morning that it was happening, so I certainly hope I’m not too late to the Sarah Palin media storm.

Rush Limbaugh is fond of pointing out that you can tell who liberals are really scared of by the frequency and absurdity of their attacks.  Make no mistake:  the left is terrified of Sarah Palin.  One of my favorite indicators is that whenever anything about her appears on CNN’s Political Ticker blog, the negative and outright dismissive comments roll in—several per minute, and generally into the thousands.  A good many of them talk about her supposed irrelevance.  (Enjoy the irony of that.)

I’ll catch her on Oprah after basketball practice tonight (thanks, DVR).  Her book, Going Rogue, comes out tomorrow.  Mine will be here Wednesday.

Could I vote for her?  Who knows, this early?  But I won’t rule it out, even after having essentially said no a few months ago.  I still wish she hadn’t resigned the Alaska governorship.  Conversely, she and I line up in a lot of ways on issues of the economy, energy, and foreign policy.  Certainly Obama is doing his damnedest to make her look appealing day to day.

I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m definitely going to pay attention.  You are too.

  1. You know, I just crack up every time another pundit goes off about how irrelevant she is, too. But, my gosh, it’s been Sarah wall-to-wall for the last week. It hysterical. It’s kind of like every other “story” that comes up on the radar now. The more they want everyone to not take note of someone or something, the more they talk about that someone or something. I don’t really think she is viable as a Presidential candidate or even a VP again, but it’s just fun to watch all the left-wingers out there running around and wringing their hands every time she opens her mouth or posts on FaceBook 🙂

  2. I am not sure if I would vote for her as President. MILF, even GILF, without a doubt but PILF, I just can fathom. OK, was that sexist pig enough for ya?

Nope, with all the speculation about her and Hillary, given a Republican Congress, I would vote for those two over McCain and twice over Obama.

  3. I don’t know if I could vote for her or not. I don’t know if she could mount a serious campaign or not. I do know it’s a hell of a long time to ’12, and therefore a hell of a lot can happen. Tell me that in 2005, you thought Barack Obama would be the next president.

I can see objectively that Sarah Palin is pretty, but I don’t ever get to the MILF/GILF/PILF place with her. Odd, really. Being as big a pig as any man, I’m not exactly hesitant in that sort of thinking. 🙂

  4. She’s too polarizing. Sorry. I like her, I admire her, and were I inclined to the other side of the fence, I might join you gents in your piggish thoughts. But vote for her? Only if there’s no other choice. I think it would be suicide for the conservatives and the GOP and another instant just-add-water four years for the obamanation in the WH if she were nominated.

Now if she’s just going to start the steam train for 2010 change and be a good little rabble-rouser – that I can get behind.

  5. Terri: Mother I’d Like to Fuck. (Grandmother…, President…) I first heard the term in the movie American Pie, though I know not whether it originated there.
