Yes, really.
Shall I waste some faint hope that even Obama’s most impassioned admirers will acknowledge that no reasonable case whatsoever can be made for this? I mean, rational people can agree that this is an award of hope and expectation as opposed to one of achievement, right?
Shall I waste even fainter hope that our esteemed president will express humility and appreciation for the consideration, but then decline the award, eloquently arguing that it should go to someone who has actually done something? I mean, surely even Obama knows in his heart that his list of accomplishments to date is awfully meager, even given the historically questionable criteria of the prize committee, right?
Shall I wish for butterscotch rain? That could happen, right?

Kudos to the Nobel Committee for acknowledging Barry’s stellar *TWO MONTHS* of prize-eligible acts of worldwide peace. I’m sure David Trimble, Nelson Mandela, and Elie Wiesel are absolutely floored by their utter lack of comparable body of work.

You know my thoughts on this. The Nobel Peace Prize has lost ALL credibility. As for what Obama has done? He’s been “not-Bush” and that’s all it takes to make some people happy.
And as long as we’re wishing…I wish I had a pony.
Remember the “ESPN – Rush Limbaugh – Donovan McNabb” debacle of a few years back? The one where Rush said on national tv that the mainstream media was so enamored of and vested in the success a black NFL Quarterback that they were willing to overlook the fact that he really wasn’t that great at it? This reminds me of that. I’m surprised I haven’t heard it said anywhere.
I like butterscotch.
Just another case of outside interference in internal affairs.
Bo, even I’m in disbelief over this one, and you how I don’t like talking politics. This may be the largest “WTF” in history….
It’s understandable for America haters to give this award to President Obama. He’s done more to weaken this country than any president since Dhimi Carter, who also won the prize.
Crap – I was almost done with my comment when the computer hiccuped and it went away! Anyway, one British newspaper had “WTF” in the title of their coverage. Sounds like they get it.
I’ve been in Ohio for a week for a SAR seminar and this was the first news I had for over a week. Nauseating.

The Nobel Prize is a political joke and has been for awhile.
Ghandi was nominated 5 times and rejected each time. Yeah, this peace thing, give it a chance!
By the way, someone emailed me to tell me this morning that Barack Obama watched a college football game this weekend, and will be picking up his Heisman soon.
