No rational person should applaud the Obama administration’s treatment of Fox News.
“The way we—the president looks at it and we look at it, is, it is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective,” said White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
This is an unprecedented attitude from the White House toward a media outlet.
Ladies and gentlemen, no matter where your news comes from, it’s delivered with a perspective. There is no such thing as a neutral delivery of news.
If you don’t believe that, then I have a question for you. Why do you think Fox News has an audience in the first place?

Issues with media are really pissing me off right now. I’m disgusted with CNN that they’ve totally ignored or buried stories that were really news but had negative implications for this administration. I expect the bulk of CNN opinion pieces to be liberal. However, I expected some integrity in their news reporting. I was sadly disappointed. Even foreign newspapers were picking up on reports that never or, at best, very belatedly showed up on CNN.
I have a “litmus test” I do for all issues – I try to think about what my reaction would be if it involved someone I liked, respected, or at least agreed with a larger percentage of the time. Would I still feel the same about the root issue? Okay… so has anyone ever listened to the crap they spew on MSNBC towards conservatives and Republicans? (What’s that show with that Rachel person? MisLeading? MisInformed? MisGuided?) Talk about not being a real “news organization”. I’ve been appalled at some of the things I’ve heard. However, even though I disagree with them, I believe that they have every right to say it. Would I have had a problem with a Republican administration publicly dissing MSNBC? Yep! I’d say they were idiots and very close to sounding like they didn’t believe in free speech. So, once again, the Obama administration has failed my litmus test.
Lea: Believe it or not, there are actually wackos out there who maintain Obama gets a raw deal in the press–in general.
