Lea planned an excellent birthday party for Nathan at Sci-Quest today:
Everything went off perfectly. The birthday party-specific hands-on presentation was engaging, the party rooms are spacious and laid out well, and the museum itself is delightful. Locals, this is a nice (and reasonably-priced) facility.
I can’t believe my little man is 7. It was yesterday that Blue’s Clues enraptured him; now it’s “Dad, am I old enough for Gears of War 2?”
Ah, no. Don’t get in too big a hurry, big man. Being a kid rocks, and it happens exactly once.
Happy Birthday, Nathan. I love you.

YAY! Extend the wishes from Auntie Chili, please! (And don’t parties at facilities ROCK! There’s no cleaning up!!)
This is the first time that we’ve done the kind of party where all we have to do is show up with a cake. (Okay, I just HAD to get plates, cups and napkins to match the cake for the kids.) It really does rock, though. The “host” they assigned us did a fantastic job, which kind of suprised me since I’m not sure he was even old enough to drive by himself, yet.
It was our first all boy party, too (except for one female cousin). They were fun! It’s a totally different vibe when it’s all boys.
Can’t believe he’s already 7, though!
Sounds like a wonderful time (and a stree-free planning event) was had by all. Congrats on 7 – time sure does fly, eh?
