Remember the mystery seeds from China last year? I had forgotten about them. Here’s a good examination.
Jeff LaBar, guitarist for glam/blues-metal band Cinderella, has died at 58. Cinderella is a significant part of the soundtrack of my childhood (particularly the first two records Night Songs and Long Cold Winter). God be with his family and friends. RIP.
I sat down and visited with one of my oldest friends on Monday, and it was heartwarming to catch up. Interestingly (considering the previous bullet), one of the things we discussed was that we were only on the front end of burying lots of our celebrity heroes. (As in, we’re not in an unusually bad period for it; this is the new reality.) Many of them are at least a generation older than we are, so we’ll outlive them. That’s how it works.
They’re changing Coke Zero again. I was roundly unimpressed with the last reformulation, so here’s hoping they actually make a positive difference this time. Watch for an updated review, if it’s worth it.
We sent $60 to Alabama Public Television to enable us to watch all of their streaming stuff for a year. That fourth season of Unforgotten sitting out there taunting us was the clincher. (We’ll get a lot of value besides that too.)
I kicked around getting a white KU hat. I’m glad I didn’t now.
