My parents were married for 15 years. They’ve been divorced for 32. Mom’s been in heaven for 13.
I just found out tonight that my sister Jenny has the engagement ring Dad gave Mom in (probably) 1966. She’s actually wearing it day to day right now. She’s lost too much weight for her own ring to fit.
Mom’s ring has had all kinds of opportunities to disappear. I’m glad it hasn’t.
