You ever do something embarrassing, clumsy, or both with a person you like and/or respect, and you carry around the shame for years, and every time you think of it you cringe, and you finally decide to talk to the person about it to clear the air, and the next time you run into the person you start into it, and s/he has no idea what you’re talking about, so you have to go into agonizing detail describing your transgression, and you realize that not only does s/he not remember it, but you should have jettisoned your associated negativity a long time ago, and in the end it was far better not to bring it up?
Yeah. That. Slack. Cut yourself some.
Have a good weekend.
