Sore throat and a stinging left eye. Figure that out. General run-downness feels viral. Wow, I really need to stop licking doorknobs.
I enjoyed Super 8, though I was disappointed in how simplistic some aspects of it were. It could have used a bit more subtlety in places. Then I watched The Final Countdown, which I’d never seen from start to finish. That made me want to watch Tora! Tora! Tora!, but I ran out of time. Maybe tomorrow.
Missed work today. Missing a party as I type. Boo.

Strep?
The Final Countdown was a pretty fun flick. Having the cooperation of the USN made it so much better. Blue Underground’s DVD with lenticular cover is pretty nice package and you can’t beat that Dino De Laurentis style poster. A good time update of a Twilight Zone fan favorite.
Thanks, all. Better today, though still tiring too easily. Hopeful for church tomorrow.
You want the salt in the wound? Had I been “present to win,” I’d have scooped up an Xbox 360 door prize at my office Christmas party last night.
BamaDan, Navy cooperation did enhance the film mightily. The extended look at the Nimitz was awesome.
