Aaron’s gingerbread fortification

Aaron’s class made gingerbread houses this week.

He’s a sweet, thoughtful child, and I’m not at all worried about the development of his temperament and personality.  However, there may be a bit of evidence here that I let him play Halo games a little early.

Those are defense turrets at each corner, and the red hot-topped bit on the roof is a grenade launcher.

  1. This may be my favorite Christmas-themed post ever. Makes me think of my son and the fact that I got him started on all things video game too soon (whatever that means).

I think the fortification is excellent!

  2. Miria, thanks. I’m heartened to hear that. 🙂

    Merry Christmas, Mark!

Dean, thanks. He was, and is, very proud of it. So when you and your son started playing video games, did you try to really convey to him how it used to be? “Son, your guy was a square.” “You mean he had a square head?” “No, I mean your whole guy was a square.” That’s how it went with mine. 🙂
