Today is the first day this year that it’s felt like Christmastime to me. I think it’s some combination of the steely weather, the Army-Navy game, and that I got some much needed catch-up rest this morning, sleeping until almost 9:00. (Then, pancakes, sausage, and fresh coffee were ready for me when I got up. Awesome! Thanks, Lea.)
I’ll just keep the my-wife-rocks theme rolling too, because I have little shopping to do compared to what she handles. Thanks again, Lea. I’ll start—and maybe finish—tomorrow. If you know me even a little bit you know that I view the retail experience as something to be endured even under the best circumstances, so said shopping shall occur from my laptop-equipped living room. I’ve also managed not to get the timers on the Christmas lights all week, so I’ll take care of that then too. I’ll work on getting cards mailed a couple of nights this week.
We’re looking forward to spending time with some friends, old and new, tonight, and the day has recovered nicely. I raise my cup of Earl Grey to you and hope you are having a good weekend.
