It’s coming October 6. Unfortunately, I’ll have go to Wal-Mart to get it.
Hey, guess what? Paul and Gene say this may be their best since Destroyer! Wow! Heh.
This is the first new material in 11 years, and I suspect it’s the first new material recorded in 17 years for which all of the band has actually played the music on it. (With Tommy and Eric, this does have a solid shot at being decent. How’s that for faint praise?)
I keep not writing the Kiss post I say I’m going to. There is a lot to say about self-parody and such. You know, though, it remains cheap and entertaining. That’s enough.
I haven’t been to a Kiss concert in more than nine years—the “Farewell” tour—and I’ve got no great drive to go see this tour. But, if we get a show close by enough for Nathan to see, I’ll make the effort.

I am sorry you have to go to Wal-Mart. Maybe you could give someone the money and they could go get it for you. 🙂
I thought you and Charles went to Tennessee a few years ago and saw Kiss? At a fair or something?

Any change of seeing a Criterion Collection DVD of “Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park”?
Jenny: Nope. Last show for me was 4/14/00, BJCC arena, middle of the ninth row. Charles was there. I’ve seen Kiss in Tennessee twice, but neither time with Charles. We did see Paul Stanley in Atlanta three years ago.
(And I probably will ask someone to go get it for me.) 🙂
BamaDan: Hey, Ace has a solo album called Anomaly coming out a few weeks ahead of the Kiss record. I’d say I’ll believe it when I see it, but I have a reliable online acquaintance who’s already heard most of it and given it high marks.
Kiss Meets the Phantom is on Kissology. I showed it to the boys. They thought it was awful. (It was way worse than I remember.)
By the way, the artwork is really lame.
