OK, I’m excited about this one. Nathan is, too. Here’s hoping it comes in about the same level of intensity as the Spider-Man movies. He did all right with those.

I LOVE the trailer for this movie. I’ve got a friend- Falcon, actually – who reminds me of this character – “I prefer the weapon you only have to fire ONCE. It’s how dad did it, it’s how America does it… and it’s worked pretty well this far.”

I’m going to LOVE the soundtrack, I can tell that already…
OMG OMG! I can’t wait. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE RDJ. He’s my favorite actor, ever, in all of time. Love. Him. Plus, comic book movies rank up there with utopian, time travel, sports as allegory for life movies. Well, some comic book movies. I did not make it through DareDevil. However, Batman Begins… primo.
Really? Robert Downey Jr.? Why?
Well, of course he was a memorable smartass in several of the films of our “formative decade.” But as far as considering him a genuinely talented actor, he won me over in Natural Born Killers. I understand his turn as Charlie Chaplin was inspired, though I haven’t seen it.

I’m pretty stoked about this one, too. And let me tell you, it’s been a long time since my eyebrow has raised over a special effects-laden action flick. I thought he was a rather odd choice, but from the trailer, I think he’ll pull it off.
For me, RDJ is all about the smart ass. I do love me a man who can quip on the fly….
