Nathan and I went down to Dad’s lake house today. We usually get down there several times over the summer, but this one has been consistently weird in one way or another, and today turned out to be our first opportunity all season.
We’re still enduring the worst drought in 150 years. You want to know how low Smith Lake is? Check out this No Wake buoy:
That buoy is a control for the marina in the background. See that roof just peeking over the peninsula that is usually 15 or 20 feet underwater?
