Lea’s father

Lea’s father died this morning. He was 83.

Lea and her family are doing well under the circumstances. He had been terminally ill for a year, and I think everyone is relieved that his suffering has ended.

As I said earlier, he did many significant and wonderful things with his time in this world. He was wholly undeserving of the slow and painful death he stoically endured. It further reinforces my gradually jelling belief that while God may occasionally intervene in His creation in one way or another, there are also things that He merely sets in motion.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We deeply appreciate them.

  1. I’m so sorry Bo – Paul and I are thinking of you Lea your boys and all your family.

Go celebrate his life – and the time you were able to share with him.

  2. Lea and Bo, I’m so sorry. I wish I had something profoundly comforting to say. Perhaps it’s fitting that I posted a fond (and odd) memory of my own late father earlier today before I read this.

  3. I’m just now having a chance to catch up on all of Bo’s blogs. So, I’m a little late adding my comment but I appreciate all the kind words and thoughts. It’s hard… your daddy is still your daddy even if you are forty… but it’s lightened by the fact that he is no longer suffering.
