Groundhog Day.

We decided to do ours in the smoker this year.  I’m really looking forward to it.  I think we’ll have plenty left over for sandwiches for the Super Bowl, too.

  2. I think both ‘seester and I are clued in on your shellfish allergy, so no worries there.

    Lea’s got a killer pork tenderloin recipe I may suggest for any net-togethers that occur. Do you “dig on swine,” as Jules Winfield would put it?

  4. I can…. oh, LORD – I almost typed “do the pig.” Then I said “DEAR GOD, I can’t write THAT!!” so I was then going to say “I can get behind some pork” but that sounded WORSE! GAH!

    No, I have no issues consuming meat of the porcine variety. Bacon, really, is a gift from God…

    I love those words. My favorite is “vulpine,” though “aquiline” is up there.

  6. I’d marinate something in jack daniels… I don’t think possums are in season yet, though.

  7. I prefer my hog pulled rather than ground. Heh.

  8. I wonder if they make groundhog spam. It’s the shoulder meat that makes it tender and gelatinous.
