Tips for an Effective Email Complaint
Be polite and use correct grammar. It is rather unlikely that the person who will read your complaint had anything to do with the formula change. Do not write as if s/he did. A carefully written complaint will receive the attention it deserves.
State the problem and solution elegantly. The problem is that "Tuned Up Taste" Diet Mountain Dew tastes bad, and the solution is for PepsiCo to restore the previous formula. This is the most important message to deliver.
Emphasize your value as a customer. Mention how much of the previous formula you consumed. Mention that you're not spending any of that money on PepsiCo products now.
Here is a short sample complaint on which you can base your own:
I have tried the "Tuned Up Taste" Diet Mountain Dew, and I do not like it at all. I drank a 2-liter of the previous formula every day, and now I'm not drinking any Pepsi products. Please restore the previous formula immediately.
