Simone Biles doesn’t owe any of us a damned thing.
COVID-19 vaccine requirements for federal employees and contractors are coming. You still don’t have to get vaccinated, but if you don’t your life is more of a pain in the ass. I’m just fine with that. That’s the model.
Talk about a zoo coming to the Huntsville area has kicked back up. This has been vaporware for quite some time now, which doesn’t fill me with confidence that they have (or ever will have) the money it will take to deliver the facility of good stewardship, research, and conservation that is promised. I think it’ll end up being mostly a traditional zoo, and probably not a particularly well-funded one. And I think we need to be over traditional zoos.
Sure hate to say goodbye to Dusty Hill. It’s a rare few indeed who get to help craft a truly iconic sound. Hill wished for ZZ Top to go on, with the band’s longtime guitar technician stepping up into his role. RIP.
I played with a Surface Go 2 today. I’m impressed with how thin it is. I may just need to plunge. I want a 10″ Windows tablet, and it looks like my choices are a Surface or something considerably more questionable of Chinese provenance.
The first full college football Saturday is five weeks from the day after tomorrow.
