- Do I want to watch a 4-hour comic book movie in 4:3? I don’t think I do. Come on, DC. If you’re out to offer a compelling alternative to Marvel’s super-saturation, you’re running in the wrong direction.
- Well, it’s now official. In a week and change, I will be on permanent telework, with no dedicated office space at my workplace. (Suddenly I have way too many polos.) I’ve worked with a lot of these people for 10+ years, and a few for 15. It’s odd to consider how infrequently I’ll see them all in the same place going forward.
- Locals, we are getting a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho Nam next door to Tuesday Morning in the Publix shopping center on County Line. I am rather excited. Watch for a review shortly after it opens.
- Sustained close work, such as on a wristwatch, has begun hurting my hands occasionally. Given my demographic I suspect this is osteoarthritis. Yay. I’ll ask my doctor about it when I see her this summer. In the meantime, maybe I’ll start glucosamine and chondroitin.
- I saw my first great impression of President Biden last night, and it’s (surprise, surprise) Dana Carvey’s. Check it out.
- Did you know large low pressure systems (like supercell thunderstorms) can significantly increase the amount of radon coming from the ground, because the radon wants to move from higher to lower pressure? Something to keep in mind if you’re testing (or have tested in the past but didn’t consider such).
- Formula 1 resumes this weekend, and while I’m looking forward to it, you can’t peel my younger son off the ceiling.

I hope you enjoy having a permanent home office. I was torn about it. I genuinely liked seeing everyone at the office twice a year for meetings, but hated weekly Zooms. After a full week at home I was usually ready to hit the road for a couple of days. I can be monotonous, but that might only be my personality.
