- It’s supposed to precipitize in a frozenly manner tonight. Mid-40s tomorrow, so any transportation trouble in the morning should be minimal.
- Right after we moved here in 1986—so, at age 15— I wrote a fan letter to WAFF news personality Kelly Cooper. Somewhere I still have her prompt, handwritten, and warm reply. That was a cool thing she did.
- I finally gave up on the pipe dream of an inexpensive Surface RT, and plunged on an actual Windows 8 tablet. I’m digging it so far.

- I have to say, though, the Dell order status experience was a C- to D+ at best. My status emails almost never matched what the Dell web site showed, and I got a robocall from the carrier alerting me to the imminent delivery about 18 hours before the Dell site showed it had even shipped.
- Samuel Adams Double Agent IPL is an interesting idea. It’s not bad—nearly nothing this brewery does is—but really, stick with good examples of one or the other thing it purports to combine.
