- Just started This Perfect Day. Early impression is that I can’t believe I’m just now reading it.
- I found Lea’s old Merlin going through a box this weekend. Put batteries in, and it fired right up. It entertained our boys for an average of seven minutes each. Yay, LEDs and tones. I thought about eBaying it, but it was so popular back in the day it’s not at all rare, so it’s not worth anything. (I’m still killer at Magic Square, by the way.)
- SEC Media Days are in full swing as I type. The season starts six weeks from tonight. Good luck, Missouri and Texas A&M. Glad to have you.
- Oliver doesn’t like the weight control cat food as well as the regular cat food. Go figure.
- Tom Cruise has been married to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. He was also involved with Rebecca De Mornay. If that guy really is gay, then what a colossal waste.
- Lea and I still haven’t made it to The Melting Pot. I think that’s the next date night, and I think it’s soon.

The Melting Pot is one of my more disappointing restaurant experiences. It has the novelty of fondue, but it just never seems to be good enough to match the price tag. For me, it’s at best a place to get good dessert.
There are others who greatly enjoy it though. Hope you are of the latter opinion.
Tahm, yes, if anyone has a complaint with the place that seems to be it. Important to get a firsthand experience, though. The place seems to be hanging around, so SOMEONE likes it. 🙂
I love the place. Everything we’ve tried, we really liked. Also, the leisurely pace of dining adds to the experience.
We’ll probably get there in the next couple of weeks. I’ll write a review.
