- Well, the peace treaty lasted until about 9:15 this morning.
- Twelve weeks to go!
- So, say some yo-yo slices his left thumb open with a tomato knife, and it bleeds a lot, but 20 minutes of pressure stops it, and the cut is clean enough to fit back together perfectly (no apparent kerf, ha ha), so he does so and sticks a Band-Aid on it, and the next morning it was still closed. Does that mean he made the right call not seeking stitches at the moment of injury?
- Still warmer than seasonal, but we’re back down to just hot instead of really hot. A drop to highs in the low 90s is forecast for about the middle of the weekend as I type.
- Go scoop up a Guitar Hero game or two. They’re not the in thing anymore, apparently, as the prices have crashed big-time.
- I’ve noticed that no one at my house ever complains when I call out “I’m killing the Clamato!” I get that it’s weird and gross. I still love it. Have to get it on sale, though; they’re awfully proud of it. And I just drink it chilled and straight. Mixing it with cheap beer, which seems to be a common practice, is disgusting.
- Speaking of beer, Governor Bentley intends to sign the Brewery Modernization Act, so life gets that much better for Heart of Dixie beer lovers. (Still not legal to sell a fo’ty, though I’d hardly call that a big problem.)
- I’ll tell you what I’m coming to believe consumer-upgradeable firmware is, more than anything else: an excuse not to test properly before release.

Oh, Jenny, isn’t it great to be back? Roll Tide!
Speaking of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, Hizzoner wants to know: what is your opinion on Texas A&M [possibly] moving to the SEC? Apparently this rumor has real legs to it.
Who would they displace? Or, in lieu of that, who would come along with them to keep things even in the E/W?
‘seester, I don’t think anyone would leave. Someone would come with TAMU.
Kemtee, it’s pretty clear to me the Big 12 won’t stay the way it is, so stuff’s going to happen. I don’t know what. If the SEC is going to change, then so be it, but I prefer a bit more respect for geography than what’s been going on so far.
I’ll just have to get over it, though. I think we’re probably headed for something like four 16-team “superconferences,” which will obviously be upsetting on some levels to a traditionalist, but…we’ll see.
Bloody Cesear (learned it from Nancy):
Clamato
Vodka
dash or two (depends on how hot you like it) Tabasco
dash of worshister (sp?) sauce
celery salt
dash of lime juice
Don’t thank me, thank Nance.
I’ll try that for sure, Marianne. I believe I recall that you and I are on the same page regarding the magnficentness of Zing Zang, thus increasing the credibility of this recommendation!
Zing Zang is the bomb…I’ll drink it even w/o alcohol. The Bloody Cesear recipe above is wonderful, and even more drinkable than a bloody Mary because it’s not quite so viscous.
