- Nebraska senator Ben Nelson finds religion. Precious.
- Screw NBC, and screw Jay Leno. He’s in full-on damage control mode and trying desperately to sound like a reasonable guy just caught in circumstances. Not swallowing it, buddy. You’re a thug and a jackass.
- We got a lot of Dale and Thomas Popcorn from a dear friend of mine for Christmas, and mmmmm. This stuff is seriously delicious. No connection other than being a satisfied fan and future customer.
- They’re wanting to name a sewage treatment plant in the Knoxville area after Lane Kiffin, which seems a tad excessive to me. Let it go, Vols. If he didn’t want you, then you didn’t want him anyway. (Easier said than done, I know; ask me how I took the departure of Dennis Franchione.) Good luck to Derek Dooley.
- I’m hunkering down and staying with my pescetarian diet for the remainder of January, but I’m really ready to add grilled chicken back into the equation. Grilled (or otherwise healthily prepared) poultry is going back in my diet next month, and I’m going to have two red meat “cheats” a month. Of these things I am reasonably sure, and suspect such conditions might be sustainable indefinitely for me.
- I have had some killer sushi, though.
- Many thanks to a friend for a Tuesday afternoon reality check. Folks, have your blood pressure checked regularly (or do it yourself), and if it’s 140/90 or higher, see a doctor. Please. (And I know you feel fine. That’s how hypertension kills people. Want to explain to God why you left your family behind because you couldn’t be bothered to take a pill?)

I’m actually a little jealous that TN got Derek. He’s a great guy and very smart. Kinda an anti-Kiffin. He’s my boss’s brother, so now I unfortunately have to hide my dislike of TN along with my hatred of Georgia. The things we have to do for a paycheck. Jeez.
You know, I was an atypical ‘Bama fan in that I didn’t particularly dislike Tennessee until the Fulmer secret witness shit. Then I hated ’em this year because it was so easy to hate Kiffin. Not sure how I’ll feel this fall.
Good luck not tipping your hand to your boss. 🙂
Dooley = improvement any way you look at it.
Sushi = excellence in dining. Even if it is out of a plastic box from Harris-Teeter.
UGA fan – conflicted at the UT-UGA game. Hate orange. Loves Dooleys.
