Terri took Saintseester and me to Upper Caney Creek Falls, a mile or so into the Sipsey area of the Bankhead National Forest, this marvelously mild afternoon. (Thanks for leading the expedition, and great to finally meet you, Terri!) It’s a jewellike nook of woods that had me instantly wishing I’d done more of the photography homework I’d intended to do before going, though I was largely pleased with this shot:
Saintseester is a goofball, but a lovable one:
More photohikes soon. My calves are howling beyond all reason from a not-nothing-but-not-really-so-strenuous hike, and that’s inexcusable. Must move more.

The “big” falls are nice, but the “little” falls to the side are really pretty. And hey, where’s my picture??
Terri: Screwed up. Didn’t get one. In fact, we should have asked Cynthia or Robert to get one of the three of us.
Really, just smells like an excuse to go again. And I relocated my tripod to somewhere I would remember it. 🙂
Well, next time Beth gets to carry your tripod then.
It was fun – one of the many perks to living in the beautiful place we call home. There’s gorgeous nature a hop and a skip away, plus we get these occasional 60 degree days in the middle of winter.
I have got to get my pack rigged up for the tripod. Or get another pack. Or bring bb_fan.
Gorgeous pix!
Beautiful picture Bo. (photography must be in your genes) 🙂
Thanks, all!
