A spokseperson for the Boston Police called this “a colossal waste of money.” ‘Cause, you know, municipalities are such bastions of fiscal discipline otherwise. Some page I saw tonight was yammering about an arrest. The governor is looking into what recourse is available.
Come on, folks. It was a moderately lame idea that snarled traffic for a couple of hours. Let’s be thankful it wasn’t anything, accept the already-offered apologies of the responsible parties, and go to bed, m’kay?
