“All in for Trump.”

Well, I might be back and forth on Donald J. Trump until that day in November arrives.

I had occasion to correspond with a longtime and greatly respected friend today on another matter, and took the opportunity to ask her what her feelings were on the election. Here is her reply:

All in for Trump.  A) the more I see, the more we need to boot the “establishment” – even in our party.  These guys/gals have gotten too comfortable, too liberal and too arrogant.  I – sadly – see the equivalent at the local/state level.  What sane person (Mac McCutcheon) decides to increase taxes based on what the surrounding states are doing?  The bigger fish- Hubbard/Bentley….busy self-destructing.

B) He’s a businessman who has a history of surrounding himself with experts and listening to their advice.  No person can know everything.  It is wise to seek counsel and wise to heed that advice.  No one becomes a billionaire by knowing it all and not listening.  No one is an island.  Will he make mistakes – yes.  Will he do things I wouldn’t do – yes.  Do you agree with yourself all the time?  Have you ever changed your mind?  I’m guilty on both of those…

C) He is the only person I’ve seen who can ‘handle’ the press.  I love the way he hits back and doesn’t shirk away.  The only flaw I’ve seen is over the ‘Star of David’.   That is absurd and doesn’t even deserve an answer.  He’s quick on his feet – think back to the swat at Jeb Bush regarding his Mother.  Jeb was praising his Mother and the response:  Maybe your Mother should be running – or something equivalent.   Brilliant.

D) He has won the delegates and is our candidate.  The enemy is on the other side.  Time to fight her/them/it.  Why keep replaying history?  Time to move on…

I want Cruz for SCOTUS…yes, I do!!  Let little Ruth leave…we have someone a million times better!

I regard this person highly. She is thoughtful, moral, and intelligent. And she’s in. Her endorsement is every bit as significant to me—perhaps more significant to me—as those of A.J. Delgado and Phyllis Schlafly.

These are unprecedented times.

  1. I am saddened by her line “the enemy is on the other side”. I don’t consider conservatives my enemy, even the ones I disagree with vehemently on just about everything.

    • I think she was more emphasizing her belief that it’s time to unite against the opposition rather than continue to eat each other.
