- My blog is littered with references to how much I enjoy it when the weather breaks and we get cool nights. Here is another one.
- I think the USB hub may be the greatest technological tease there is. Maybe 40% of what I’ve ever tried doesn’t work correctly plugged into one (and sometimes it’s maddening trying to diagnose a problem, until you remember the hub is in the equation). I want 12 USB ports on my next desktop. Do they make that?
- Talk Like a Pirate Day was yesterday, apparently. Can we have a Use Proper Grammar Day?
- Cheap pens suck. I have the vague feeling I’ve spent a Thursday miscellanea bullet on cheap pens before, but I have a particularly infuriating incident in recent memory. Cheap pens are a leading cause of slow, painful death in North America.
- My friend and colleague Jason is in a band called King’s Haze. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard, and I’m hoping to see them soon. Check them out here.
- Some great insight here about what your server won’t tell you at a restaurant. I’ve always thought exactly the opposite of what’s often true of the daily special. It’s so elementary now. I feel dumb.
- I’ve blogged about the hospital before. Unfortunately, I’ve got an opportunity to do so again. I’m going to wait for a happy ending before I do. I hope that comes by tomorrow or so.

Hmm. The servers insights article was ….interesting.
Some of it surprised me alot. Some not so much.
