Red Dawn (2011) takes another weird twist

So the remake of Red Dawn was in development hell.  Then it was in the can but shelved in the wake of MGM’s bankruptcy.

There aren’t many movies I hear about and then genuinely eagerly anticipate—that’s generally reserved for Halo and Bioshock games—but this was (is?) one.

Now the invading Chinese forces have ridiculously morphed into invading North Korean forces.

So how are they going to get here?  In what Bizarro world will their brutal dictator Dear Leader allow so many of his captives citizens to leave their oppression glorious homeland paradise?

Why not just change the enemy to global warming?
