Remember our good friend Bob Etheridge? He is the North Carolina Democrat who, faced with an unwanted encounter on the sidewalk, decided the best course would be assaulting his questioners. I wrote about it shortly after it happened (and included the videos of his barbaric stunt).
I’m pleased to report that Etheridge has been defeated in his bid for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives. The close vote meant the results were certified only today, and he lost to Tea Party-supported candidate Renee Ellmers by only about 1,500 votes.
Given the small margin of victory, it’s entirely plausible, and perhaps even likely, that his shameful thuggery cost him his seat. So, sometimes bad guys do get their comeuppance.
Go home, redneck. Stay away from civilized people.
